ANDREW: Good afternoon! I'm Andrew from Wide World Travel Birmingham. How can I help you?
LILY: Hi! My mother and I are thinking of taking a holiday, so I would like to book some flights.
ANDREW: Of course. Where do you want to go?
LILY: We would like to go to Germany from Birmingham. We thought either Hamburg or Berlin might be interesting, but we're not sure which one to pick.
Do you have any recommendations?
1ANDREW: I’d choose Berlin. The flights there are the cheapest at this time of the year and we have some good deals at the moment.
1LILY: OK! That settles it. We would like to book two round trip tickets.
ANDREW: Great. What date would you like to leave?
LILY: We would like to leave on the 29th of October.
ANDREW: OK. I've noted that down. When do you plan to return?
2LILY: On the 5th of November. We have to come back in time for my father's birthday, which is the next day, the 6th.
3ANDREW: Alright, let me just take a look ... OK, so I've just found some prices for you for those dates. There are two flights, the cheaper one is £110 and the other is £150, both leaving at 10am.
3The cheaper option has a short stopover in Paris, though. Which would you prefer?
3LILY: We would not consider flights with a stopover as my mother likes direct flights. I think we will take the more expensive one.
4ANDREW: No problem, so I will book you in for the weekly return airfare type, flying with Golden Daybreak Airways.
ANDREW: Now I would like to get some necessary personal information from you for the booking. Is that alright?
LILY: No problem.
ANDREW: Where do you live?
5LILY: I live at Bank House, Chalk Street, Birmingham.
ANDREW: OK. And your name please?
6LILY: Lily Cowper. That's C-O-W-P-E-R. My mother's name is Janet Esperance. Oh, I nearly forgot! She has some special needs for the flight.
7She is lactose intolerant, so definitely no milk in her meal. And apart from that, she's also allergic to nuts.
ANDREW: Sure. I've noted this down. Is there any other things we can care for her needs on the flight?
LILY: My mother has trouble walking. Is there any facility available to help?
8ANDREW: That's no problem at all. The airline offers wheelchairs for anyone in need. Would you like me to call ahead and arrange one at the check-in desk when you arrive?
9LILY: Oh yes, we would really appreciate it. Thank you! She probably will need some more legroom for the flight too. Can that be arranged?
ANDREW: Certainly! I can put you in row 40 if that suits. It isn't an exit row but it will make sure that your mum feels comfortable. Would that be good?
LILY: Yes, that would be great. Now, how should I pay for these flights?
ANDREW: There are several options. You could come into our agency and pay in person via card or cash, or make an online transfer.
LILY: Alright, I'm coming into the town next week, so I will come and pay in person by credit card ...
10Oh no, actually I think that an online transfer would be the easiest option for me. Could you please let me know the details?
ANDREW: Sure. If you give me your email address. I will send the details and your itinerary through to you.
LILY: OK, it's [email protected]. Thank you so much for your help!
ANDREW: Great, I will send it through. And I hope you enjoy your holiday!
