Man: Good afternoon, KT Furniture. can I help you?

Woman: Oh, hello, yes, um. I'm setting up a new office and I don't have internet access yet, but I'd like to place an order for some furniture.

M: That's fine. You can do it over the phone, and I can fill in the form for you this end.

W: Oh great, thanks

M: I just need to take a few customer details first. if that's OK?

W: Yes, fine.

M: What name is it?

W: My name?

M: Yes.

W: Oh, it's Sue Brown

M: Sue Brown - thanks.

And what's the name of your company, Ms Brown?

W: It's a clothing company, er, it's called 'Dress your best'.

M: 1OK. I'll just note that down… 'Dress- for- best'.

W: 1No - 'your best'.

M: Oh right. got it. So you make smart clothes?

W: Yes, formal dress for weddings and special occasions. We also repair and alter clothes.

M: I see. And where are you located - what's your postal address?

W: Right – well, we're on 2Kirby Trading Estate. 

M: Kirby - how do you spell that?

W: It's K-i-R-B-Y.

M: Oh. I know that area. It's New Hampton Road, isn't it?

W: Yes, that's right, number 210 - in South Down.

M: OK, and can I have a contact number for our delivery man?

W: Sure - it's probably best if I give you my mobile number

M: OK.

W: The number's 309356 788 545.

M: OK … double 7 8 …

W: No - 7 double 8. 5-4-5.

M: Ah ... OK, that's great. Now, just a couple more questions before I take your order …

W: Fine.

M: We have two delivery dates this month. and you should be able to have either.

W: When are they?

M: Well, there's one on the 16th of the month, but there's a charge of 40 dollars for that one.

W: Oh. that's a lot!

M: Mmm. Or there's option 2, which is the end of the month. . . I'll have to confirm the date later… and that's a free delivery.

W: 4I'll take option 2, thanks, I don't want to pay a charge.

M: OK - I'll note down 'no charge'.

W: We haven't organised the office yet, so there should be plenty of time.

M: Mm-hm. And lastly, you don't have an account with us … so how would you like to pay?

W: Oh - I'll pay by credit card.

M: OK - will that be Visa?

W: Well. I've been looking in your catalogue, and you have some office chairs that look very comfortable for our type of work.

M: Is there an item code?

W: Yes, it's ASP 23.

M: 6OK - those chairs come in pink, white and black.

W: 6Yes, the pink looks nice. but I think the darker colour's better for us - you can see light materials on it more easily.

M: That's true.

W: We'll have five of those. I think.

M: OK. I've got that. Anything else?

W: Do you have any striped mats?

M: I'm sorry, not at the moment - they're out of stock. We should have some in next month.

W: Never mind. Um ... 7Well, um, I'd also like two of your glass desks.

M: They're lovely, aren't they?

W: Yes - you seem to have two sizes.

M: Basically large or small … I think the code for the small ones is ...

W: 8I think we'll have the large ones - the code here is TG 586.

M: OK, so that's two glass desks. Any lamps for those?

W: No - we have to get special lamps for our work.

M: Oh. I see. Do you have another supplier for those?

W: Yes ... um, we do need some furniture for our customers, though.

M: OK - for a waiting area or something?

W: Well, we have to discuss the work with them. so we need a nice sofa ...

M: Something soft and …

W: I thought leather ...

M: Ah yes, a good choice.

W: There's a three-seater here - DFD 44. That seems to be in red, cream or chocolate brown.

M: 9Yes. It does come in yellow as well.

W: 9Yellow … Mmm. I'd thought of red … but … that sounds lively – yes, I'll have that colour. I think brown's a bit too dull, and cream shows the dirt too much.

M: Yeah, you're right. Anything else? 10A coffee table, perhaps?

W:10 Yes, I think so. Maybe TX 22, the silver one.

M: A very good choice.

W: Well, that's it. I think.

M: OK ... I'll just add that up for you and then take your credit -card details ...
